Death of a Salad

I just tasted the worst, absolutely disgusting salad of my life. No joke people. Just the smell of it gave me a headache! Horrible, horrible, horrible! The horrors of it are swirling oh so fast, around and around in my mind! Help me people from dying an early death! I really don't feel so good. I am afraid to say this might very well be my last post.
The two words I want you all to be wary of are *dramatic music please*: Salad Presto!
There I said it! I don't think I can say it again! Oh the terrors and panic attacks that come from just those two little words!
I'm getting woozy so I must be quick! Never, ever, EVER try the darn salad! In fact I don't want you to go on trying it so much that I will NOT put the recipe below.
Salad Presto:
5 cups of mixed greens
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of red wine vinager
A pinch of dry basil
Salt
Pepper
Put greens in medium bowl and mix together the olive oil and red wine vinager in a seperate bowl. Pour dressing over sald and sprinkle basil, salt, and pepper over the top.
I dare you all to try it. Risk your lives! But be aware of the consenquences. In fact, right at this moment I am sinking to the ground of exaustion, typing these last few words, weakly.
I really hope this will not be our last minute together.
Until we meet again! I hope...

Any Random Thing

It amazes me how any little kid can just pick up anything off the ground and start playing with it. For example my youngest sister, she found a key chain and some kind of broken plastic thing and started walking them all over her plate at dinner. Then she started talking them and apparently there was some issue about some dead poodle. Um, what?
Little kids puzzle me. I wish I could understand them and be able to play with them. I mean, I have the imagination (which is awesome!) but still. Can any of you just pick up some random thing off the ground or around the house and start making it dance and sing?
Maybe kids just have their own way of doing things that only they can understand.

Fictional Is My Type

I'm one of those people who fall in love with fictional characters.

Alex Rider for example, I've read the entire series (well, except for the new one which I'm waiting for it to go into paperback) and I happened to fall in love with him right away. So much in fact, that after hearing there was a movie I ordered it, bought the movie poster, the movie soundtrack, bought the video game, and became overly obsessed with spies from MI6 and the CIA (therefore I started watching Alias), learning different languages, taking martial arts, becoming overly obsessed with England (I now have an England flag hanging on my wall), and so on. And did I mention I wrote down every place, hotel, and activity (like scuba diving) that he has ever been to or did? After of course finding out the places in the books were actual places. And because of this I now know my countries and cities much better than I ever did before!

I know, I know, I know, I'm a freak. But a very happy freak indeed! Because without the existence of Alex Rider, I would have ended up being normal and liked only guys from reality. Okay, not that I don't have any crushes from reality, because I do, but that's another post somewhere in the future. Unless I die tomorrow, because then I'm afraid no other post will ever be coming anytime soon. That's depressing so I'll get back to my one and only true love. So anyways, Alex Rider was my very first fictional character crush. Movin on.

My other true loves from the fictional world include: Jace Wayland, Leven Thumps, the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Zero, Damen, Sark, Alec, and these other guys that I sadly cannot remember their names at the moment. That's actually really sad.

Well, you get the point. I go for the fictional characters. The ones who don't exist. The ones who will never ever come out of their books/movies/video games. Oh, gosh. I'm going to be a loner when I get older.

* You know, the actor who played Alex Rider, Alex Pettyfer, looked exactly as I imagined him. This resorted to me getting a star crush on the actor himself. Funny how things turn out.

A Death Note Movie?

I have heard the worst news yet, of today. Death Note, the famous anime series topping almost #1 on every single person's favorite list of animes/tv shows, the series that has won many awards, is becoming a movie. Horrible right?

First off for those of you who don't know what Death Note is, it's a more than popular anime series about a student named Light who finds a notebook called the Death Note. By writing people's names in the notebook, it gives him the power to kill those people with a mysterious heart attack. Light soon gets the idea to kill criminals to creat a utopian world with his power, only to become one himself.

So as I was saying about it becoming a movie, it may not sound horrible but trust me it is. When you hear that Zac Efron is supposedly or might be playing the genius of a criminal master mind Light Yagami, you go, what could they have possibly been thinking?! Think about it once again. Zac Efron playing the amazing, gorgeous murderer Light Yagami? No Way!

Also, Japan has already made the popular series into a movie and it turned out not so great. Yet another reason why the anime should NOT become a hollywood movie. What's the difference and who knows if it will be any better? Probably even worse if Zac Efron is playing the part.

For all you Death Note Fans out there who agree that Zac Efron should NOT play the part of Light Yagami, then please sign the petition from the link below.

Nanowrimo Rocks!

Nanowrimo. Or shall I say National Novel Writing Month. One of my favorite contest-like-things I've ever done! If you've never heard of it then you're a complete loser and destined to die a harsh and everlasting death. Okay, just kidding about that last sentence but I was completely serious of what I wrote before. It's one of the best! Well, I suppose if you're one of those people that all you do is write, then it's the thing for you.

Every November, Nanowrimo comes back into play for all those booknerds, writing freaks, and for weird people who likes absolutely everything, but hates it all. What it is, is a writing program where you have to write a novel in one month for everyone 12 and up and since I'm you know, old enough, I was able to do it. And do you want to know the great thing about it? Anybody can win when they have completed the word limit. And the word limit isn't even that big! The word limit is only 50,000 words aka 175 pages! See, not bad at all!

Okay, maybe it is a lot. In fact, last november was my first year doing the thing and I...didn't make it. Such a shame. But it was difficult I tell you! I only got to 59 pages of a story I didn't even end up liking! But in a way it was an accomplishment because I fell in love with writing even more and 59 pages was the most I have ever written for a story. But this year I will be doing it again and hopefully surpass the limit!

The people of nanowrimo give you writing tips and hold nanowrimo events where the people in your area who also do nanowrimo meet at a bookstore, library, cafe, or a similar place to talk about what you're writing and get other people's opinions. And the nanowrimo website sells these awesome sweatshirts and mugs with nanowrimo on it and all sorts of cool sayings! It's like a big bonus I say!

In case you're wanting to know, if you win you get a certificate and can get your book published without having to get an agent and sell it on amazon. Or if you don't want to do that you can get one copy published for you and you only. Yes, nice isn't it?

It's a great event and I think all you writers should try it, just for the fun of it!

Rain

There's something about rain I love. Something about it that makes me smile, dream, and wish. Others might find rain dreary and cold, but not me.

I may go out sometimes and just sit there in the rain, or sometimes even begin to spin beneath it, smiling. It gives me a refreshed feeling, like everything I ever did that wasn't the greatest or I regreted was cleansed away from my soul. I could start over new.

I see rain as a chance to be able to create wonderful things, or to write a great story by the window and every once in a while lean my head back against it and just listen to the sounds of the rain hitting the windowsill and ground, drop after drop.

Then there's the dreaming. The rain makes me dream of such wonderful things and I never go to stop imagining until the rain takes my dreams along with it.

Only, there is a sadness that comes with the price of a moment of peace and happiness within the rain. That is after the rain is carried away. Everything is back to normal. Traffic can be heard along with its honking and tire sliding, babies can be heard crying, once again the smell of pollution can be smelt, and people may once more carry out their crimes.

And although everything else does not sound so swell after the rain has gone, the rain has left something for us all. Hope. Hope that the sound of rain and feeling of rain on your arms will come once more. Hope for people with only tragedy in their lives. Hope for the chance when all bad things are washed away. Hope...for everything to one day, be changed for the better.

The rain is my comfort.

Last Name Doesn't Work

I am normally used to people calling me by my first name. So as expected, it came as a surprise today in english class when I was called "Clower".

We were having a discussion about...something I couldn't remember, and all of a sudden he was all "What do you think? Clower?" I just sat there dumbly with my mouth hanging open. I'm pretty sure I was thinking about something completely off topic, like frogs or something else kinda stupid. I just sat there and once again he said, "Clower?" I glanced around, laughing in my head how whoever he was talking to didn't seem to hear him and was out in space instead. The only strange thing was, he was staring at me while talking to whoever it was. By this time he was starting to get annoyed, "Uh, hello? I'm talking to you." It then dawned on me that my last name was clower and he was talking to me and not someone else. My cheeks had blushed bright red with embarrassment. I mean, how was I supposed to know he was talking to me? I'm never called by my last name. So uh, yeah. Just uhh...yeah.

I mean, how was I supposed to know?

The Circus!!!

I have never been to an actual great circus but that all changed yesterday when I went with some friends, because it was one of their birthdays, and I had a blast! I know some people may say that a fifteen year old going to the circus is childish but they don't know what they are missing! It's some serious wicked stuff! :D
So my friend's mom dopped us off and we went to go grab our reserved tickets only to find out that her dad hadn't actually bought the tickets. She (let's just call my friend...Maria) called her mom who called the boss of the entire circus who just happens to be best friends with Maria's family (did you get all that?). Okay, so here is where everything just gets better. So the guy who's in charge of everthing, his name is Israel, comes on out in an awesome outfit and has gorgeous hair and is good looking! So what he does is talks to the people in charge of tickets and then comes back out only to give us VIP tickets! So were in the very front and very middle! What's even cooler is that the seats were already reserved for someone else but he went ahead and gave them to us and moved the people elsewhere! (The people who originally had the seats weren't there so he didn't actually tell them to move, they arrived later) Then he gave us free Cotton candy and soda, and a Big Bonus! Would you like to know what that big bonus was? Introducing us to a rather good looking guy who works in the show. Can I say gorgeous?
So the show soon starts and all four of me and my friends started bouncing in our seats, so excited that it was starting and we find out the gorgeous guy is a clown in the show! Only not one of those scary clowns like in the states, his make up looked cute and he looked more like...uh, i can't describe, he just didn't look scary and not at all like the ones in the states. But he was so funny and I couldn't stop laughing out loud :)
You know what I never thought I'd be able to do in my life? Pet a tiger. And guess what? I got to do just that! I hope you all get to do it one day! :) I even got my picture taken with the tiger and on an elephant.
It was an amazing experience. I think everyone should go to the circus for their b-day. In ways it is much better than a regular party! In fact, I think I'll be going myself this year! :D
Hope you guys all have one great day! And remember, go to the circus for you birthday!!!!

It's Me

My name is Amber. I know. A simple name but extremely awesome. Okay, not really but I like to think so. Now back to me. As I said, my name is Amber and I love a lot of things. I love traveling, writing, drawing, reading, playing video games, and a whole lot of other stuff that will take to long to write all of it down! But basically I'm a creative and imaginative dork.
I currently live in Colombia, South America but will move in June because I usually move every two to three years (I'm an army brat). I'm hopeing to move back to my fantastic friends in AZ but we may move up to Idaho where my relatives are! I haven't made a snowman in longer than four years so I think it's time we move to Idaho where there's just foot after foot of snow in the winter. That reminds me. Isn't Idaho the potato state?
Did I mention I love to write? Well I looooovvvvveeeee to write! I want to be able to become an author one day. Doesn't matter if I'm famous or not, I just want to see my written work on a store bookshelf. Although I will be honest and say that I'm not really writing anything at the moment. I keep starting a new story only to stop after a sentence or two. I think I have developed the syndrome Writer's Block, which is a very serious matter. How I am supposed to get my fantasies on paper?!
So that is basically me...I think. Unless I forgot to say something really important about myself that I should tell you guys..... I have a feeling I did leave something out. Well, I'm stumped.
Until then!
